Pink Flamingo combines two Kush classics, blending the best of the East and West Coasts with a hybrid of BC Pink Kush and Florida OG. After a multi-year journey fraught with trial and error, we are finally proud to present Pink Flamingo in its complete form.

Genetics and Origins

This strain exemplifies everything great about Kush, while introducing something entirely new to the realm of OGs—a glorious strawberry aroma, with colors to match. Initially, the cross was made to stabilize the cup-winning BC Pink Kush in a true-breeding seed form. At the time, the clones circulating were starting to show signs of degradation—stunting, reduced yields, and a diminishing terpene profile. It seemed only a matter of time before this great strain would lose its former glory. Florida OG Kush was the obvious choice to reinvigorate the line, and from the very first generation, we knew we had something special. However, multiple failed attempts set this project back, and for a while, it was placed on the back burner as other priorities took precedence. A very limited number of packs from the first generation made their way out into the world, and when overwhelmingly positive feedback started to trickle in from those grows, we knew it was time to get back to work and finish what we’d started.

Aroma and Flavor Profile

What makes Pink Flamingo so special is that it delivers everything you expect from an elite OG cultivar, but with an exotic and one-of-a-kind terpene profile. Pink Flamingo produces extremely dense OG flowers with swollen bracts that stack into rock-hard, golf ball-sized buds. Resin production is massive, as you would expect from any true OG, with gooey resin rails trailing out onto the foliage. The buds are so heavily frosted that the plant twists and contorts under the weight of the trichomes.

Where things get truly unique is in the aroma. The Pink Flamingo line expresses a stunning strawberry pop-tart fragrance—something neither parent exhibited. Remarkably, nearly 75% of the females in this line show this uncanny sweet pastry aroma, which is layered with classic earthy OG dankness. The inhale is sweet and fruity, while the exhale brings the grounding earthiness of OG. It’s an intoxicating combination that makes this strain both unique and unforgettable.

Growth and Cultivation

The structure of Pink Flamingo is typical of OG Kush—long internode spacing and a very high bract-to-leaf ratio, which makes trimming a breeze. Branching is encouraged by topping early; otherwise, the plant will grow columnar, with lower satellite branches developing as the plant matures. Keep an eye on the lower nodes, as rarely some plants may produce one or two umbrellas, a trait sometimes seen in OG cultivars when grown from seed. These will not return once removed, nor will they be present when grown from clone.

Effects and Medicinal Qualities

Pink Flamingo has some of the most beautiful bag appeal and aroma we’ve encountered, but it’s the medicinal qualities that truly set it apart. It’s an absolute godsend for nausea, stomach pain, and lack of appetite, making it an essential strain for those undergoing cancer treatment. Unlike some OGs, which can be overpowering and anxiety-inducing due to their potency, Pink Flamingo doesn’t cause mental discomfort. In fact, many have reported that PTSD sufferers find relief in Pink Flamingo because it’s strong enough to cut through intense pain, but does so in a way that is calming and anxiolytic, leaving you relaxed and peaceful without the usual mental haze.
