From the brink of extinction, Lucky 13 Seed Company proudly resurrects one of the most celebrated tropical sativas in cannabis history: Blue Hawaiian Sativa – a strain of true royal pedigree.
Once revered as an elite and celebrated cultivar, Blue Hawaiian Sativa was tragically degraded through years of careless breeding and neglect at the hands of its stewards.
Rather than let another cornerstone of vintage cannabis heritage vanish forever, we chose to rebuild it – properly, patiently, and from the ground up.
The foundation required two extraordinarily rare parents from the late-1990s underground era. First; a pure Federation Hawaiian Sativa. This one narrowly escaped obliteration during the DEA crackdowns that shuttered countless seedbanks in the early 2000s. Only a handful of seeds survived in the care of dedicated preservationists, which eventually reached us.
Second; an ultra-rare sativa-dominant phenotype of DJ Short’s original Blueberry, discovered years earlier in our own vintage seed hunts.
After years of rigorous selection, we isolated the perfect Hawaiian stud and meticulously recreated the original cross with the Blueberry Sativa mom. The result surpassed even the finest examples of the golden era variety.
Growth & Structure
Blue Hawaiian Sativa explodes with classic tropical vigor. Expect rapid vertical stretch, aggressive branching, and long internodes that fill in completely during an 11-week flower cycle. Narrow, sativa-style leaves allow excellent light penetration and airflow. Combined with the Hawaiian’s natural resilience, this makes her remarkably resistant to mold and bud rot, even in humid environments.
